Why Knights Legion Exsist!

Long ago i made a decision to start a guild on wow, i would have never thought i would still be running it 14 years later. A true treasure with more pro's then con's.

The Guild Way

Running a guild is not something anyone should take lightly, so many factors come into play and evil elements are working against you to make you fail! Its part of the job and if you are serious as i was and still am your be just fine! On the upside you get to sculpt a community to your chosen, making it a place for you and others to share and experience wow in its best version. A place were you can add and subtract elements which dont suite your over all goals. The place for like minded people and of course a place to party up with! It is an MMO after all.

The Learning Curve

Back in 2007 everything was different and the world did seem more simple, the game was peaking and i was a little noob GM trying to establish a guild that worked. I quickly learnt that inviting hordes of players in was a huge mistake and started limiting through application. Being a 24 year old that had no real experience in running a guild or community was an eye opener. I knew what i wanted though long term as i had been in a nice rounded number of failed guilds and toxic ones, So the goals were clear to me!

Failing Is Part Of Succeeding

When the guild peaked with wrath it was like a never ending success, things were good, players were everywere and raiding was a strong stable given. Like KL no one saw the huge dowtrend that came after it and the heavy toll of burnout everyone felt, barly making it through Cata it was time to call it a day once Pandaland hit. It was a heavy blow but a needed one, becouse of that and what lead from it we have a active and live guild today. Lesson of the day, sometimes you need to fail to see success.

Your never going to win everyone over, please people, go out of your way to do your best to keep them, at the end of the day everyone has goals and something they look for in a guild. Today i dont do such things, most of KL's members know what i bring to the table, what i want the guild to succeed in, a ship in the ocean is as good as its crew and a crew needs a true north. I like to think i give that to my members.

The Upward Trend

Having lived through all the crazys and so called true guild members its important for me at least to see when we fail and succeed, when its time to ease back or speed up. Something i can only know from running such a great guild for so long. We are in a great place right now, downtime has become a thing and when its time to kick it back into gear i have members who are ready, supportive and eager! From 24 to 38 and still going. I am a GM who is very proud of its members and of our success expantion after expantion. Would i do it all again........F%ck no! joking ofc i would ^^

Stay safe all!

Regards

Raz
